Penang trip - Day 1: Eden Seafood Village @ Batu Ferringhi (Part 4)

After the Georgetown trishaw trip, we went back to our apartment which at Batu Ferringhi. Well, the Batu Ferringhi is well-known with 5 stars hotels and luxury villas by the stretch of sandy beach. But, can you believe it? We only spent RM200 for an apartment (3 rooms, 1 living room, 2 bathrooms and 1 kitchen) per night for 6 persons. It’s damn a good deal, saved a lot of money for a family holiday.

View from our apartment, can enjoy for sun, sea and sunset from the balcony.

Tonight, we are going to have a sumptuous at Eden restaurant – the restaurant view from balcony.

The restaurant is located at a walk able distance from apartment.

There are authentic cultural shows every night.

The ambience was high when some guests were performed on the stage.

Signature dish Chilli crab with bun (辣椒螃蟹), RM70

The main course - Chilli Crab is extremely awe-inspiring. It is more to nonya flavour, tastes totally different compare to Singapore signature Chilli Crab. It has ‘multiple’ tastes, besides spicy, you can taste sour, sweet at the same time, quite unique flavour ^^.

Share with you a story behind, a few years ago, I and KH didn't order this dish when the restaurant captain highly recommended, because we don’t believe this Chilli Crab can be better than Singapore Chilli Crab. But, I tell you what this crab is definitely better than the pepper crab we tried years ago. So, the moral behind the story - don't be stubborn and always accept the restaurant captain’s advice, because they know more than you.

Chef Special Fried Prawn (避风塘焗明虾), RM45

Mixed Vegetable, RM24

Fried Siput (海瓜子), RM40

The seafood meal is completed with bear, satisfied.

The 5 dishes and bear cost us RM335. Huh? 5 dishes, but you only post 4 dishes. Yes, 5 dishes, because I forgot to take photo of baked oysters before I finished it. I promise I won’t repeat the mistake, hmm, I try…
